Inspired by traditional Indian Matka silk, Pachisi, is a heavy-weight, rustic curtaining cloth, soft to the touch with a super-supple hand for curtaining. Handwoven, the space dyed twisted yarns ebb and flow across the cloth, giving movement of colour as well as an artisanal, rustic feel. The fabric is given a Kundhi finish, which is a traditional method of hand beating the cloth with a wooden hammer to soften the textile, after this the fabric is calendared on both sides to achieve a subtle sheen.
